WHAT ARE COOKIES?

Cookies are small data files that are placed on your computer or mobile device when you visit a website. Cookies are widely used by website owners in order to make their websites work, or to work more efficiently, as well as to provide reporting information.

Cookies set by the website owner (in this case, Studoos) are called "first-party cookies." Cookies set by parties other than the website owner are called "third-party cookies." Third-party cookies enable third-party features or functionality to be provided on or through the website (e.g., advertising, interactive content, and analytics). The parties that set these third-party cookies can recognize your computer both when it visits the website in question and also when it visits certain other websites.

WHY DO WE USE COOKIES?

We use first-party and third-party cookies for several reasons. Some cookies are required for technical reasons in order for our Site and App to operate, and we refer to these as "essential" or "strictly necessary" cookies. Other cookies also enable us to track and target the interests of our users to enhance the experience on our Site and App. Third parties serve cookies through our Site and App for advertising, analytics, and other purposes. This is described in more detail below.

TYPES OF COOKIES WE USE

Essential Cookies

These cookies are essential to provide you with services available through our Site and App and to enable you to use some of its features. For example, they allow you to log in to secure areas of our Site and App and help the content of the pages you request load quickly. Without these cookies, the services that you have asked for cannot be provided, and we only use these cookies to provide you with those services.

Functionality Cookies

These cookies allow our Site and App to remember choices you make when you use our Site and App, such as remembering your language preferences, remembering your login details, and remembering the changes you make to other parts of our Site and App which you can customize. The purpose of these cookies is to provide you with a more personal experience and to avoid you having to re-enter your preferences every time you visit our Site and App.

Analytics and Performance Cookies

These cookies allow us to analyze how our Site and App are being accessed and used, and enable us to track performance of our site. This helps us to provide a high-quality experience by customizing our offering and quickly identifying and fixing any issues that arise. For example, we might use performance cookies to keep track of which pages are most popular and which method of linking between pages is most effective, and to determine why some pages are receiving error messages.

Advertising and Targeting Cookies

These cookies track your browsing habits to enable us to show advertising which is more likely to be of interest to you. These cookies use information about your browsing history to group you with other users who have similar interests. Based on that information, and with our permission, third-party advertisers can place cookies to enable them to show adverts which we think will be relevant to your interests while you are on third-party websites.

Social Media Cookies

These cookies are used when you share information using a social media sharing button or "like" button on our Site and App or you link your account or engage with our content on or through a social networking website such as Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram. The social network will record that you have done this.

THIRD-PARTY COOKIES

In addition to our own cookies, we may also use various third-party cookies to report usage statistics of the Site and App, deliver advertisements on and through the Site and App, and so on.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to analyze the use of our Site and App. Google Analytics gathers information about website use by means of cookies. The information gathered is used to create reports about the use of our website. Google's privacy policy is available at: https://www.google.com/policies/privacy/

Payment Processors

We use third-party payment processors such as Razorpay, PayPal, and UPI platforms to process payments. These services may use cookies to ensure secure payment processing and fraud prevention.

HOW TO CONTROL COOKIES

You have the right to decide whether to accept or reject cookies. You can exercise your cookie rights by setting your preferences in the Cookie Consent Manager. The Cookie Consent Manager allows you to select which categories of cookies you accept or reject. Essential cookies that are necessary to provide the services you requested cannot be rejected.

Browser Settings

You can typically remove or reject cookies via your browser settings. In order to do this, follow the instructions provided by your browser (usually located within the "settings," "help," "tools," or "edit" facility). Many browsers are set to accept cookies until you change your settings.

Mobile Device Settings

If you are using our App, you can control cookies through your device settings. Please note that if you choose to reject cookies, you may not be able to use certain features of our App.

COOKIE RETENTION PERIODS

The length of time a cookie will stay on your computer or mobile device depends on whether it is a "persistent" or "session" cookie. Session cookies will only stay on your device until you stop browsing. Persistent cookies will stay on your computer or mobile device until they expire or are deleted.

Session Cookies

These cookies are temporary and are deleted when you close your browser. They are used to maintain your session while you browse our Site and App.

Persistent Cookies

These cookies remain on your device for a set period of time or until you delete them. They are used to remember your preferences and settings for future visits.

UPDATES TO THIS COOKIE POLICY

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time in order to reflect, for example, changes to the cookies we use or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. Please therefore re-visit this Cookie Policy regularly to stay informed about our use of cookies and related technologies.
